List of Research Topics
Translational research is the process of conducting basic biomedical research with the goal of rapidly translating these findings to the bedside and focusing on clinically relevant problems in disease etiology, diagnosis and treatment. Translational medicine bridges the gap between scientific discovery, technology development and patient treatment. Our translational science team participates at all levels: from the basic scientific discovery of new disease mechanisms to the testing of new diagnostic markers or therapies in research clinical trials. Our team includes scientists with backgrounds in biochemistry, cell biology, analytical chemistry, bioengineering, microbiology and theoretical and applied mathematics, as well as personnel with clinical/medical laboratory experience.
